HPLedger online (the "Service") · Last updated 28 June 2026 (draft — pending legal review)
These terms are a contract between you and Homepedia Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the hosted HPLedger accounting service at this site. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.
HPLedger online is a multi-tenant, cloud-hosted version of the HPLedger Australian bookkeeping software. It lets you and people you authorise record accounting and payroll data for one or more organisations, and lets an accounting practice you engage access those organisations to help with bookkeeping and tax compliance.
You retain all rights in the data you enter ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, back up, and transmit Your Data only as needed to provide and secure the Service. You can export Your Data at any time. We do not sell Your Data or use it to train third-party models.
The Service stores Your Data on managed infrastructure located in Australia. Each organisation's ledger is held in its own isolated database. Tax File Numbers are encrypted at rest; traffic is encrypted in transit. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
You must not use the Service to break the law (including tax fraud or handling payroll or Tax File Number data you have no lawful authority to process), to attempt to access other tenants' data, to disrupt or probe the Service, or to resell it without our written agreement.
Pricing and billing terms for paid plans will be presented before you subscribe and will form part of these terms when you do. During any free preview period the Service is provided at no charge and may change or be withdrawn.
The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant it will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any figure it produces (BAS amounts, PAYG withholding, depreciation, financial statements, etc.) is correct. You remain responsible for verifying figures before relying on them for any lodgement or business decision. Some surfaces are marked as in development or coming soon and should be treated accordingly.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss — including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or statutory penalties — arising from your use of the Service. Where the Australian Consumer Law implies guarantees that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the Service or refunding fees you paid for the affected period. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination you may export Your Data for a reasonable period, after which we may delete it.
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
